Regular socialization in a safe, stimulating and carefully supervised environment will provide your canine with the mental and physical exercise they need. We offer pack leadership, fun, socialization, exercise, confidence building, boundaries and affection, so that you will always return to a relaxed and fulfilled pet: no more guilty feelings.


THE FACILITY

Urban Canine’s state-of-the-art facility was designed to specifically cater to the needs of the individual canine, while ensuring the highest level of health and safety for dogs of all shapes and sizes. Our grand, open-concept 5500 square foot facility offers the opportunity to create an arena style play area, or customize and section off smaller playgroups based on social skill, energy level and size. To ensure both comfort and safety, floors are covered by thick, anti-slip rubber matting: even the busiest of puppies can enjoy a safe surface to play, while those who want to relax can do so with ease!

Outside in our beautiful, 3250 square foot play area, members will find a dog utopia. Summer months at Urban Canine are spent soaking up the sun, splashing about in our pools, and playing with the sprinklers and hoses. With plenty of shade and a separate, indoor “cool room” designed for dogs with a low tolerance for heat, we are able to offer summer fun and comfort for any canine! With direct access leading to our outside area, you can rest assured that your dog is always safe and secure.


DAYCARE SCREENINGS

All dogs are screened for good temperament, acceptable social behavior and health issues. Dogs are grouped according to their energy level, size and social skills.  We have a “zero tolerance” policy for any aggressive behavior to ensure the safety of all dogs in our care. All screenings are by appointment only and will be held by one of our canine specialists in a private screening room at Urban Canine. We offer appointments Monday to Friday at 10 a.m. based on availability. We do not permit any canines in the building without current proof of vaccination.


DAYCARE MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS

Proof of current vaccinations for Rabies (at 6 months), Distemper, Parvo and Bordetella are required.
We require that Rabies, Distemper and Parvo vaccinations are given every two to three years and Bordetella annually.   All dogs over the age of 6 months must be spayed or neutered.
